Canadian producer & DJ Oli West grew up in a deeply musical household. He fell in love with electronic music after stumbling upon Strobe by Deadmau5 in 2011, and started producing music just a couple of years later at the young age of 14. Having spent years producing music for his own enjoyment, he burst onto Ottawa’s dance music scene in 2022 with a uniquely dark, rowdy and hypnotic sound. By 2023, he cemented himself as one of the most promising musical talents in the region, regularly selling-out headlining shows at Ottawa’s top clubs and opening for Hugel and Wuki at Riverside Music Festival. Having been added to the lineup Escapade Music Festival, the biggest dance music festival in the Toronto-Ottawa-Montreal region, 2024 is set to be the biggest year of his career.

Although his productions generally fall in the Tech House, Bass House, UK Garage or Techno categories, Oli West’s productions are uniquely genre-blending and are predominantly related to one-another by aesthetic rather than genre. Energetic, dark, rowdy, Hypnotic, introspective, groovy, industrial best describe this aesthetic. Although his songs are best enjoyed at a live venue, Oli writes his songs with the intent for them to be enjoyed at any time of day and setting.
